“If you want something different try this”
Reviewed 22 October 2011
My wife had been watching River Cottage, saw Hugh F-W doing his bread making thing and said it looked fun. That's how we ended up doing a stay and bake at the Old Church and we took the evening meal as well. We stayed in the Cairn Table room which is a lovely, huge room and got freshly baked pancakes and yoghurt bread on arrival. The evening meal was as good as any you would get in a good restaurant with courgette and tarragon soup, followed by chicken Balmoral and then lemon posset. Lesley is a seriously good cook. The following morning, after a breakfast in the kitchen which was cooked to order while we watched we began the bread making. Great fun and we got surprisingly good results. Lesley's a great teacher and clearly passionate about making bread and we had a great time. Good value for money and very enjoyable.

“Absolutely Fantastic!!!”

Lesley is an amazing teacher who makes you feel very relaxed whilst cooking. She treats you like a friend which allows you to learn and cook in a comfortable environment. The basic bakery course was brilliant and the food we made was delicious!!! Honestly well worth every penny, and we will definately be returning again in the future!!!! Have and continuing to thoroughly recommend!
